Atlantic it is!!

Greetings Friends!

Well, despite a few bumps in the road, Zoom (my bike) and I finally made it to destination Halifax, Nova Scotia- at lightning speed at that! Airplanes; amazing inventions, I tell ya! :)

Despite this apparent laziness, I did manage to rotate Zoom's wheels a bit on a 6 day tour of Prince Edward Island with newlyweds, Colin and Alaina (who have the coolest tandem bike in cycling history!). We had a great time. Lots of red earth, lighhouses, Anne of Green Gables-obsessed tourists, lobster, muscles, chowder and of course, potatoes! We stayed in B+B's and cottages, which is a great way to tour.

The trip was a nice way to see a province and restored my love of cycling exploration and it was nice to join friends.

Currently I have just moved in with more friends from Semester in Dialogue, Erin and Andrew (who also just relocated from Vancouver), in Halifax, home of Timothy the Tugboat! Halifax is a beautiful city with lots of history and interesting architecture. Home is cozy and a stroll from Downtown. We are now official Haligonians as we're fans of the local brew and fish and chips! Yum! I'm also in full anticipation of a beautiful Fall and hopefully a very very white Christmas!

So despite a crazy summer, it feels great to be here with friends and enjoying our amazing Country!

I trust that everyone is doing well!
Many cheers,
Kristy
