Farewell little Pamster...

On a not so cheery note, Penny, the happiest, most loyal and trusting Golden Retriver was put to rest last week. After nearly 15 years of pets, walks and lots of love, it was with heavy hearts that Mom, Dad and Bry took her to the vet to be put down.

Though it is a tough time for the Williams' family and those that loved Penny, it helps to remember her by reflecting on our happy memories, of which there were plenty. Her favourite activities were breakfast and dinner time (she had Dad wrapped around her little paws), walkies consisting of greeting her human friends and squirrel hunts (she always got excited when Mom put on her purple walking suit), rolls in the snow and on anything smelly (i.e. treasures on the beach), ropy tug-a-wars with Bry and I, swimming after ducks, and ice cream cones on her January birthday.

She was always willing to please (well, except for the first few years of dog training- she sure did have a curious side) and her love of play and attention could put a smile on your face any day. She was the best pet anyone could have asked for and we were truly lucky to share so many good times with her as a family. She will certainly be remembered with a tear and a smile by all those who loved her (which could be said for all those that met her).

Below is the last picture taken of Penny getting ready to greet the kids for Halloween...
Run like the wind little love...
